Canal+ secures Premier League broadcast rights
CANAL+ has acquired the rights to broadcast the Premier League in Poland for the 2025/26, 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons. Until the end of the current 2024/25 season, the broadcasting rights belong to Viasat , a Swedish streaming service Viaplay, and CANAL+ will show only two matches based on the granted sub-license.
- We have acquired exclusive rights to broadcast all Premier League matches in Poland in the 2025/26, 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons, - says Edyta Sadowska, President and CEO of CANAL+ Polska.
According to CANAL+, live broadcasts of the matches will be conducted by professional commentators, only football experts will be present in the pre- and post-match studios, and CANAL+ sports editorial team will provide the best coverage of the matches throughout the season.
The sports rights portfolio of CANAL+ Polska includes, among other things, the rights to broadcast all matches of the Premier League (starting from the 2025/26 season), the UEFA Champions League and PKO BP Ekstraklasa (Polish Football Championship
, KSW), WTA tennis tournaments and selected matches of EA Sports LaLiga, PGE Extraliga and NBA.
As a reminder, CANAL+ held the rights to broadcast the Premier League before the streaming platform Viaplay entered Poland to take over English football from the 2022/23 season.
